Can Your Brain Suffer from Pattern Overload? 'Cause Mine is

I decided to write this post today because I want everyone to know that not everyone's life is always sunshine and rainbows. Yes, I was raving about how well I'm doing in quarantine and I believe I still am, but some days or even weeks are better than others.

If you don't know what pattern overload is, it's when you exercise in the same position, plane of motion, etc for too long and begin to damage soft tissues because of it. And I am almost positive my brain and mental state is suffering from it during quarantine haha

I've been in Lubbock and in summer consistently for about a month and a half now and it's starting to take a toll on me. You know those quotes that say, "Wake up, eat, sleep, repeat,"? Yeah that's been my life for the last month and a half and it's getting old.

Wake up. Eat. Workout. Study. Work. Repeat.

I've been waking up and doing that same damn routine for a month and a half and I am so mentally tired of it. I can feel a meltdown 100% coming after this week is over. I woke up this morning with no motivation to do anything that I usually do because I'm just tired of it.

But here's how I'm getting through it.

At the end of this week, my friend is coming to stay with me for the weekend, and right after that I pack up and move out to go home and then to Reno to be with my brother and his girlfriend for almost a whole month! I am literally counting down the days.

These days, especially in quarantine, all the days start to combine into one and it's hard to find the motivation to keep doing what you've been doing. When I built a routine that was consistent it was great and it still is. But you gotta mix it up sometimes and change things up! And when it gets to be too much, find something to keep you going. Find something to motivate you to keep going.

I'm 6 days away from moving out of the worst apartment complex every and going home and then going on an adventure! Wouldn't that keep you going??

In middle school and high school I was the most pessimistic person. But with everything I've gone through and what I have experienced in college, I have become so optimistic and positive. It's what keeps me going and makes my life so much more enjoyable. Find something that will keep you motivated through this quarantine and when that gets old, find something new!
